The Official Oaklands Court Launch Party

The official launch of Oaklands Court took place on the 30th March 2006.

The event was very successful, attracting a wide range of local businesses to view our latest project. During the evening guests were able to see how the development of Oaklands Court has been sympathetically built on the acquired grounds and how it enables us to offer first class accommodation not currently available in the City.

Distinct Hotels, a local family owned hotel group, launches twelve boutique style Lodges – known collectively as Oaklands Court - in the grounds of its existing hotel, The Oaklands, in Thorpe St Andrew, Norwich on 30th March 2006.

With an investment of over two million pounds, this complex offers guests state of the art technology combined with pure luxury finishes to provide a standard of hotel rooms not yet commonplace within
the City.

Spotting an opportunity in the local marketplace to create something very special, Distinct Hotels acquired the land next to its existing property and worked closely with architects and environmental planners to ensure the resulting Lodges were built to fit into the existing landscape and maximise the outlook over the picturesque Yare River Valley.

Each Lodge, named after local rivers and waterways, features an open plan living area with luxury sofa conversion and a galley kitchen - enabling guests to relax in comfort and prepare a snack or light meal whenever they choose. 

The bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms have been designed with the most discerning traveller in mind, and the attention to detail is what you can expect from any five star hotel with LCD televisions in the rooms and a selection of luxury toiletries in the bathrooms.

In addition, every Lodge has free high-speed internet wireless internet access and a 42” plasma screen.

For those wishing some outside space, each Lodge has a balcony to maximise the views across the Yare River Valley, and in the summer months guests can enjoy the modern decked swimming pool set amongst the landscaped gardens.

This sophisticated accommodation is situated in a central location, easily accessible to all major routes in and out of Norwich City.
